The Foundation was set up to promote entrepreneurial initiatives and support start-ups in Malta. It brings together various entities and companies that provide services and opportunities to the local entrepreneurial industry. FPEI encourages all forms of entrepreneurial initiatives and start-ups, from high-tech/high-growth ventures to social enterprises.
FPEI aims to collaborate with local and international partners to establish new initiatives and provide tools that will help promote entrepreneurship in Malta. FPEI offers membership to companies and organisations that offer services to entrepreneurs and that wish to target this community.
FPEI’s flagship project is the reward and donation-based crowdfunding platform, Zaar, that offers startups, individuals, social enterprises, and voluntary organisations an alternative finance method for raising funds for projects and initiatives.
FPEI is a not-for-profit organisation set up by the Malta Business Foundation a.k.a. Malta Business Bureau (MBB) and the University of Malta (UM).
